CEO of BR - Founder of BRC

Birth Responders was not born out of business ambition; it was born out of heartbreak, purpose, and prayer.

My journey into this work was not linear. It was carved through lived experiences. A young mother navigating trauma, as a woman who nearly lost her life during childbirth, as a massage therapist holding tension in bodies that had never felt safe, as a doula standing between fear and faith, and as an EMT responding when seconds meant everything.

I have witnessed birth in its most beautiful form — and in its most devastating. I have seen women give life and lose life in the same breath. I have held the hands of mothers who needed just one more compassionate person in the room — someone who understood how to resuscitate a body and restore a spirit.

Spa Doulah-Lah came first — a sacred space for rest, restoration, and reconnection. But Birth Responders came from something deeper. It was a divine download. A call I could not ignore.

I realized there was a dangerous gap — between home and hospital, between midwives and medics, between emergency and empathy. And I stepped into that gap.

For seven months, I set aside comfort and familiarity to attend EMS school. It was humbling. Often, I was the only woman, the only doula, and certainly the only one speaking about childbirth in the context of emergency response. I did not go for a title. I went because someone had to build the bridge.

I went for the mothers who don’t make it home.
